Looking for a Good Home
I have the Trigun DVD series (minus the 2nd one). Needs TLC and love and peace. Sell for dirt cheap, or for free. I just want it to go somewhere. |

My entire childhood just orgasmed
New Years weekend report to come, but first Space Battleship Yamato Goes Live ActionAnd if you can't be bothered with the details, here's the teaser . . . Yes, Star Blazers was a big part of my youth, and I'm glad that Japan got the Live-Action jump on the long rumored US made Live Action version. The USS Arizona instead of the Yamato? No. Though Captain Avatar is a cooler name than Captain Okita. I'll be importing this as soon as it hits DVD. No . . . a torrent will not do it justice!!! In related news . . . At least it's not a remakeAnd if you don't know anything about John Carpenter's The Thing watch this . . . |

Life sure isn't always easy, but man did I just find something that made my day. I had a quick glimpse of what I may have been had I just always given in, given up, and done what is easy instead of what is right. For all the hardships life has tossed in my path, in the end, I believe I'll be better for it. |

Public declaration
No, there is no reason for this, I am simply making a public declaration as a "Just in case." Not like it would really stop anyone, but it's here. In the event of any future significant windfall (Lottery win, large inheritance, find suitcase of money on side of road, etc.) Any and all promises I may have made in the past, real or imagined, pertaining to the distribution of said windfall, are hereby rendered null and void as of this writing. Castlevania Adventure ReBirth
One of the few great reasons to own a Wii, for me anyway. I'm only 3 stages into it, but it's a great mashup of all previous games (a lot like how New SMB Wii borrows many elements from its predecessors). You have your jump and attack buttons, no jumping onto stairs and plenty of sine wave medusa heads. The music is 16-bit flavor and borrows heavily from Bloodlines as well as the original's songs. What is the real treat here is exactly what they borrowed from the other 2D versions. Keys to open doors (Dracula X) to acquire lots of points and power ups Multiple paths (Dracula X and Castlevania III) that lead to the same boss (so far) Fireball whip (3rd GB game, with Sonia Belmont) Crashing chandeliers (Super Castlevania IV) Ectoplasm enemy (SotN) For 1000 points it's a very nice addition to the library. It takes up 263 blocks, so if you try to save it to an SD card, you'll need at least 64MB I think. Current Mood: excited |

Ok, this has to be Karma (AKA Boondock Saints Double Feature time!)
for the past month, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day has been bouncing around theaters all over Hampton Roads. When I left for Christmas, it was at the Regal in Pembroke and I was expecting it to be gone by the time I got back. Well, it was gone from THAT theater, but it is still playing at the Regal at the Pembroke Mall! My girl Torri has been wanting to see this with me since forever, so tomorrow, we're going to do it, and while we are at it, we're going to make it a double feature. So: Day: Tomorrow, the 31st Time: 3 PM Place: Me and Gecko's place here in Hampton. the What: We will start with a viewing of the first Boondock Saints. Bring your own chips and dip, I've got some pure sugar Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew to share. After viewing the first movie, we will head across the water to grab some dinner (Chipotle or Genghis Khans) and catch the 7:10 showing of Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. After the movie, we go our seperate ways for NYE partying. If you can see this, you are invited. Ping me if you're interested! Current Mood: excited |

Like father, like son I guess . . .
Like I've said before, the only TV my Dad seems to watch anymore are the Filipino channels on FIOS he pays extra for. One of the shows I've caught him watching repeatedly is this Superhero show called Darna based on a long-running Filipino comic. Judging by what I've seen of it so far, since my Dad has very little interest in comics otherwise and what you can see in these clips, he watches it more for her similarities to Power Girl than Superman. That's Angel Locsin as Darna And that's the current Darna, Marian Rivera No, I don't understand a word they're saying. My Tagalog stops at "putang ina mo!"I laugh out loud at how bad the show is from the horrible overacting to the ultra low-budgetedness. Yet, a part of me wants to see if I can find some english subtitled DVDs of it, just to see if understanding it makes it better or worse. oh yeah, and boobs Current Mood: amused |

2009 is soon over... 1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?Learn to smile even when I'm sad. 2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?I don't make New Year's resolutions. If it's worth resolving to do, it's worth resolving to do now. But, yeah, I've kinda teetered back and forth on some of them. But a hundred small steps are better than one big one. 3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Not that I remember, though that could change before the year is over. ( 2009 Meme ) |

It is to laugh . . . From The Asylum, the kings of knockoff, direct-to-DVD pap; the same me-too studio that brought us Snakes on a Train, Transmorphers, I Am Ωmega and so many other "movies" that dance all over that line of copyright infringement legality now brings us . . . PS3's For Everyone
I'm pleased to see so many people snag PS3's for Christmas. And Mr. Weiser snagged one a few months ago. We should all play Little Big Planet. I still have zero desire to buy a 360, though. At this point, I never will. |
