Total waste of my time...
I love my company... Not only do I have to find out on a daily basis what a lousy job I'm doing, but now they've decided to waste 3 days of my time. I showed up at a convention this week to represent them, but this involved one 5 minute speech and a half an hour of talking to tax collectors. So for 35 minutes of action I have to sit here for 3 days. I could have driven down here one afternoon. Well at least I got my resume updated and sent out to a few places maybe I'll get lucky. Pain is knowledge...
Hey the guys, Just wanted to put this out here for everybody. So far Me, Kev, Dave & Dustin have been doing some martial arts on Thursday evenings. This week though we're going to have Tom & my bro Fran joining in. So I wanted to open it up to anybody that can read this. If you're in the greater Philadelphia area everybody's welcome. If you've studied before and you want to come and share some ideas or techniques from your style that's cool. If you've never learned before and you'd like to pick up some self defense, or if you don't even want to spar, but want to get a good aeorbic work out then feel free to come on down. If things start to pick up enough and we have enough people coming maybe we can try adding a second night or even a few Saturdays or Sundays. It's time to get out of the bar....
So me and Kev were talking today about a new shadowrun game. Now in the past we've had some problems, like dealing with high tech security or avoiding detection by the cops. Those are all problems of the past my friends because we came up with a campaign that we can't help but succeed at: "The Black Donnelly's Shadowrun Campaign." It's a street level campaign based around taking over the Seattle mafia. There are 5 main characters from NBC's cancelled series the Black Donnelly's. Check out episodes here. Oh yeah the LJ....
Almost forgot about the Lj, been alot of stuff going on. Got back into hitting the gym heavy, started sparring on Thursdays, my cousin wants me to play keyboard in his band, and I found about a medieval society that puts on armor and beats the crap out of each other with weapons! All good things. Also going back to school for my degree in either social working or education. I'm leaning towards education, so I can help people and have my summer off. Well it's my last night hear in Japan. I really wish I had more time to run around over here and hang out with the Deej, but I have to admit I'm worried. How long can America survive without my stabilizing presence. How much stress can the pillars of Freedom and Justice withstand if I'm not there to bolster them... DragonCon
Hey guys, Just wanted to see who's going to Dragoncon and what costumes they'll be doing. I'm restricted by the probability that I'll be flying instead of driving, so I won't be able to bust out with the cardboard and ductape goodness.... That means I'll be depending on all of you to make my costumes... I was thinking if I do drive, that I'll have to go with two mechs: King StarScream Optimus prime I've been talking about making king Starscream since I first started going to cons, but I never got around to doing it. So maybe if I can muster up the will to drive to Atlanta I'll finally get it done. Oh yeah I'll be bringing along Haggar, Hercules, & Guile. That means i'll be bringing multiple cans of fabreeze since they all employ the same muscle suit. I'd like to have The Tuff guy too, but that will mean once again begging for help from all you costume makers out there. | | 2:14 am |
OMFG post from JAPAN!!!
Wasn't going to make the predictable post from Japan, but I slept in until almost 3 in the afternoon today so I'm having trouble getting to sleep. Anyway things are going pretty awesome over here. Being able to spend a few days with the Deej totally rocks, and I even got to see a few arcades... I thought they had vanished from the face of the earth, but they really just moved to Japan. This country is ok, but it's no America.. I guess it's just weird I'm all used to seeing the intermixins of so many nationalities that seeing only one everywhere I look is strange to me. There are some benefits though, I'm without a doubt the biggest and scariest thing they've ever seen. I can tell everytime they see me they fear the POWER of my great nation could be brought down upon them. Well I hope all goes well for you guys and I'll check back in probably for the next hour or two until I feel tired or sometime this week if I get bored... "Its not that I have to win all the time... I almost forgot in my total angst session last time. Who wan'ts to totally invade the ren faire... now I know what some of you are thinking. This has been done... any you would be right, if it weren't for this unpredictable twist. We go to the ren faire as Jedi. I'm talking full on lightsaber, claw handed, twilek's hell whatever you want as long as you use the force and wield a sword made of energy. I'm talking full on in character though, I want to hear lame ass quotes like "I sense a disturbance in the force." and I want to hear em all day drowning out the Milords and shit. Hey everybody
Yo the guys, I just realized its been a few days since I checked the old journal, so before I slip into my old ways of dissappearing for a year or two I better update.
Tekko was fun. Not everything went as planned, but I got to hang with Jon, Jessi, Jamie, Brad and Icca so that definatley made up for the skit being less than satisfactory. Also I'm gonna keep wearing Haggar cause that costume is fun as hell.
Finally got my tickets all squared away for Japan, so short of arranging for a cell phone, and exchanging some of my money I'm all set.
I went back to the gym tonight, so if I'm as successful as I've been in the past I should give up completley by may 13th. Nah, I'm gonna stick with it even if its just running, since I realized I've been feeling pretty run down lately. Which is odd since I don't do much.
I've got overtime work on Saturday this week so that's going to suck, but i'll be done at noon so if anyone wants to come down and hang out this weekend just give a yell.
Also wanted to say that I think Me and Kev are gonna try and get a Shadowrun game started again. I don't think it would be an everyweek kind of thing, since that gets to be difficult to keep up with, but maybe we could set up one weekend a month and just have a huge hang out, and totally dork it up and watch movies and shit. I think me and Kev are gonna be reusing Brimfire & Stone, if everybody's up for doing a magic slanted campaign, Kev said he had some cool storylines set up. So if your interested just let me know.
Hope I can see some of you this weekend to hang out. Take it easy.

It's kind of funny. I've never worked harder or been more successful in my life, and yet my company still makes me feel like I'm failing somehow. I guess I just don't know how to please these people. Oh well work is work I guess, but on the positive side I scheduled my vacation for May and I'm gonna go to Japan and crash with Deej for a few days. So that's gonna totally rock. Here I come... Back from the dead....
Hey there to anybody who can still read this or cares to... Man it has been a while since I've stumbled unto this scary ass internet realm. I've been thinking I should try to update some more since it's easier to keep track of you guys on here, but needless to say i'm notoriously bad at updating anything. Truth be told the only reason I sat down to today is that I've been laying around the house sick as a dog. I'm just glad we didn't have this weekend scheduled as a filming weekend or anything. Alright anyway I guess its time to get the necessary updates of Paul's life out of the way since its been what a two year gap between posts?
Work: Well I got a much better job, with a better title, better pay, and the sad realization that work still sucks. Either I need to hit the lotto or me and kev need to sell our idea for a tv show, cause I don't see myself making it through another 30 years of this shit.
Writing: I've basically spent the last few months kicking around ideas for a couple different stories I'd like to write, but I think I've finally settled on one in particular. When I get some actually written, and if I think its good enough maybe I'll post it for some brutal and scathing feedback. On the positive side I think Me and Kev were able to get bast the writer's block on our script, so the first episode should be finished this week.
Cosplay: Grimlock and a whole lot of nothing, but if we can get things together for Otakon I might have a few more monstrous creations made.
Fitness: Creeping ever closer to that 28 year old heart attack, but I'm gonna try to clean up my act and exercise. I haven't been feeling too well and that's probably the reason.
Love life: *Personal* In that I'd rather not say completley inactive.
Other than that things are pretty much the same as they've always been, although my egomania has absolutley increased. Well to be fair I shift back and forth from the egomania end of the spectrum to the incredibly depressed. I've just been spending way more time on the Egomania end of things. Well that about sums it up for me... So if you read this let me know how things have been going for you.
